In the seasons of 1986-1987, Donnie joined forces with John and Paul Cody at Cody Country. The Cody Twins got their start in Branson, like many entertainers here,  with the Starlite Show. Among the headliners there were Cliff Wagner (M.C. at the Presley's) and Doug Gabriel.

"As a musician, this show was probably my favorite. The musicians I worked with there were some of the best in town at that time. The music there was both challenging and rewarding." Donnie proclaims.
